|A Wonderful Group! Stony Brook Garden Club Annual Meeting 2016.
Hope you have all had a wonderful summer and are ready to begin a most interesting garden club year!
The first monthly meeting of the 2016-2017 Stony Brook Garden Club year is September 13 at D&R Greenway. Passing for horticulture show must be completed by 9:30am and we will commence our business meeting at 9:45am. Coffee will be available from 9:00am. Come early, have your entry passed and enjoy some time together.
*WELCOME PROVISIONALS! Orientation and Horticulture Workshop is Sept. 7 at 9:00am.
*Conservation outing to Water Treatment Facility in AM, Sept. 20 (rain date Sept. 22).
*Flower Arranging Workshop 101, Sept. 27 at 9:30am.
*Hort Workshop-Propagation, Sept. 29 at 9:30am.
Stony Brook Garden Club earned the Corliss Knapp Engle Horticulture Sweepstakes Award
(Presented to the club with the highest number of points earned from all competitive horticulture classes in a GCA flower show)
The Conservation Exhibit at the Zone Show awarded the Marion Thompson Fuller Brown Conservation Award to all clubs for their entries.
NJ Committee Luncheon and Lecture featuring Francis Schultz speaking on her book, the bee cottage story, on Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 11:00am - 2:00pm at the Canoe Brook Country Club in Summit. $65 per person, cash bar and book signing.
